I started Widowgrove in 2015, as a place to create and publish my own books and games.

In 2020 - after almost 15 years in the game industry - I took the dive into self employment and started growing Widowgrove as a consultancy as well.

Anders Rauff-Nielsen (a very short bio)

I've worked with game design, worldbuilding and storytelling for 15+ years - across all possible platforms

I grew up in the middel of Jutland, spending most of my childhood playing roleplaying games, Magic TG and rock music with my friends - something that greatly shaped who I am and how I work today.

In my early twenties, I took a masters degree in Philosophy and History - before setting my sights on building a career designing games and play experiences. Now, after more than 15 years, I've helped create boardgames, TV-shows, books, digital games, robotic toys and even museum exhibitions.

After finishing university, I had a number of short term jobs - including co-writing a "how to" on roleplaying games for one of Denmarks leading publishing houses. Afterwards, I worked for 3 years of the hit Trading Card Game "Chaotic", working with IP creation, Worldbuilding and Game Design - a great learning experience, to say the least. From 2010 to 2020 I worked with digital game and play design, before expanding into consultancy work, that includes Gamification and Worldbuilding.
